Ashbury Cottage is located in Calgary, Alberta Canada and has been providing alternative therapies for cats, canines and other companion animals since 2009.

Owner and alternative animal health practitioner Pamela Porosky CTMT, CSMT was one of the first fully certified and insured canine massage practitioners in Southern Alberta and continues to be one of the forerunners in the field of holistic animal therapies in western Canada. She specializes in therapeutic and maintenance massage for companion animals, as well as canine sports and rehabilitation massage. She is also certified in animal aromatherapy, and is a Usui Reiki master. Pamela has also taken advanced studies in animal Reiki, rehabilitation massage, advanced stretching techniques, puppy massage, geriatric massage, cat massage, animal behaviour and pet nutrition. Additionally, she has completed several hours of studies and hands-on training in Tellington Touch (Ttouch), crystal therapy, flower essences (i.e. Bach Flower Remedies), cranial-sacral therapy, homeopathy, acupressure, herbal remedies and pet nutrition. She is pet first aid and CPR trained and certified. 

Pamela studied massage and aromatherapy at the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage (RMSAAM) in Castle Rock, Colorado. She received her Reiki Master certificate (Usui tradition) under the tutelage of Calgary-based Reiki Master Leslie Martin. She recently completed Animal Reiki: Core Curriculum through the Animal Reiki Source under the guidance of renowned animal Reiki expert and author Kathleen Prasad.

Pamela is actively involved in rescue work in Calgary and surrounding area, volunteering her holistic bodywork skills and professional pet photography services to a number of local rescues. She is a professional member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB), affiliate member of the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists (CFA), supporting member of the Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA) and business member of the Alberta Association for Animal Owner's Rights (AAAOR).

Ashbury Cottage is named after Ash, Pamela's shy but fun-loving lab/muse who inspired her to complete her Reiki training at the Master level, to continually explore the diverse field of animal bodywork, and to always provide the most up-to-date techniques in a kind, caring and compassionate  way.
